Continuity testers are electrical test instruments that use acoustic or visual signals to indicate whether there is an electrical connection between two points. A continuity test is therefore used for troubleshooting in electronic or electrical devices and systems and is part of everyday work in many electrical engineering professions. A continuity tester can of course also provide answers at home: Are installations wired together correctly? Where exactly can a fault (e.g. a short circuit) be located? Which bulb in the string of fairy lights is defective and preventing it from working properly? Testboy continuity testers have proven themselves here – they stand for durable, robust test instruments that are not only TÜV/GS tested and approved but also user-friendly. A tone or light signal tells you whether or not the electrical contact between two points is interrupted – it could hardly be more practical or clearer. For this purpose, continuity testers have two leads, one fitted with a crocodile clip and the other with a test probe. This allows you to fix one lead firmly at one point while remaining flexible with the second.
